Here's a tip to test your string height at the nut:
Press down on any string at the 3rd fret. The string that you pressed down should be
just about touching the 1st fret. If it is touching the fret, the slot on the nut for that string
is probaly too deep.
If it's nowhere near the fret you need to cut the slot deeper.

A Word About Digitech Pedals And Other Popular Pieces of Gear
A lot of Digitech pedals like the Whammy and pieces like the Alesis SR-16 require 9 Volt AC adapter.
This is not the same as a 9 Volt DC adapter. Using a 9 Volt DC adapter on the units will power the unit up
but it will not allow sound to pass through. You won't hear any sound. You'll need a 9+ volt AC adapter of some kind to get the unit to work right. On a 9 Volt DC adapter like you would use with a BOSS pedal, you have a negative (-) and a positive (+),
a 9 Volt AC adapter does not have a positive or a negative.
Hope this helps somebody. Here's some info straight from Digitech:
"Thanks for your interest. The [new replacement] PS0913B-120 will power any Whammy pedal Digitech has ever made, and it will do this without any sound quality or performance degradation.
It is not true that only the PS750 will make the WH-1 function right. Honestly, there is no performance or sound difference when using the PS0913B-120 with a WH-1. Please consider the fact that most famous guitarists who use the WH-1
(Morello, Vai, etc.) use pedal boards or custom power supplies that
are not PS750s.
I should note that a PS750 does say 9.6 v on it, and a PS0913B-120 says 9v on it,
but the Whammy pedals are internally regulated so they all utilize the same voltage.
As far as the higher milliamp rating of the PS0913B-120, a product will use only
what it needs and discard the rest.
It is thoughtful and kind of you to ask permission before publicizing our response.
People who disagree will reason that a Digitech employee has to say what I did
to support our product. In fact, honesty and personal integrity are the primary
virtues I use to evaluate my tech support staff. They can aquire product knowledge,
but the core values have to be there."
